FAIRTRADE Fortnight has just come to an end. On behalf of the Malvern Fairtrade Group I would like to thank all those who helped to make it such a success.
The Mayor of Malvern, Coun Frances Victory hosted a splendid coffee morning where not only was fairly traded tea and coffee on offer, but lovely home made cakes made from fairly traded products. The Malvern Co-operative store gave us a warm welcome and we were pleased to be able to display the wide range of Fairtrade goods they have on offer.
Both the Co-op and Waitrose had special promotions for Fairtrade fortnight and the Oxfam shop had a very attractive window display.
We were heartened by the response from the people of Malvern who showed interest and a wish to seek out Fairtrade products when possible.
Malvern is now well on its way to achieving our aim for it to become a 'Fairtrade Town'.
