LANGLAND SPORTS 6, GOODREST SPORTS 1
LANGLAND Sports did not take this game lightly as Goodrest have had some good Worcester Saturday League Division One results lately.
With some difficult games to come in the last third of the season Langland need to stay up with the leaders to realise their title hopes.
With the Langland defence of Steven Brookes, Jason Howes and Steven Hudson playing well, it was the young midfield of Sam Dakin, Dale Humphries, Ian Hill and Wayne Cadmore that dominated the match, playing at a pace that Goodrest could not match.
Nick Kordas was in superb form and two goals from Stuart Harvey and one from Wayne Cadmore put the home side 3-0 up at half time.
There were further goals for Langland in the second half with Ian Hill and Dale Humphries on the scoresheet before a good move involving Alf Barnes and David Lewis set up Stuart Harvey to complete his hat-trick with a fine finish into the bottom corner.
Mark Homer scored Goodrest's consolation goal.
There is no fixture for Langland Sports tomorrow (Saturday).
