AT 64 years of age I still feel I am very much in the prime of my life. I recently acquired a border collie puppy, Frosty, who is now 14 months old. As the breed are originally working dogs they do need a lot of exercise. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to exercise more after my heart surgery. However, I am finding places to walk my dog a struggle.
Some of my favourite walks on the hills are now shared with the newly installed sheep. This means my dog has to be kept on her lead. The sheep excite my dog and as I have arthiritis this makes the walk impractical. This also applies to Castlemorton Common.
Although in principle I think the Sheep Conservation Programme is a good idea I cannot help but feel the sheep would be more at home on a farm.
Although I do not deny the sheep on the hills probably love the views, I would love to share them with my dog as I once did with my dearly departed wife.
Also I agree whole-heartedly with Mr G Lewis (Your Letters, March 21) that people should park safely at a distance and walk to collect their children from school. It will probably take a death to alert Malvern's merry band of would-be councillors that action is needed.
