A PLAQUE commemorating the life and work of David Percy will be unveiled on Saturday.
Mr Percy, who died in 1985, was a member of Colwall Parish Council, the Probus Club and Malvern Hills Conservators, all three of which arranged for the plaque with his family.
Rev Carl Attwood, who will host the event, said: "David Percy was into preservation and environmental issues long before anyone else was. He was very much involved in the community.
"He pioneered the way for a lot of things that have happened in the community since, especially with the development and awareness for our countryside".
Mr Percy's widow, Marion, said she was pleased: "There's already a grove with nine birch trees and daffodils planted, but people have no idea that they were planted in my husbands memory. So after all these years it's nice."
The ceremony will be at 10.30am on Colwall Green.
