A TWISTED ankle didn't stop a group of determined youngsters hobbling around Malvern, chained together, to raise money for charity.
Eight 15- and 16-year-olds from Dyson Perrins CE High School dressed as cops and robbers, pulled in £625 towards a trip to Venezuela.
After embarking from the Clock Tower on West Malvern Road on Saturday, March 15, disaster almost befell the group when Vicky Goodman twisted her ankle walking down some steps near The Abbey Hotel.
But she managed to press on, covering eight miles through Great Malvern, Malvern Link and finishing at Dysons on Yates Hay Road.
The group is now planning another fundraising event before the South American trip in the summer of 2004, for which each person has to raise £2,895. While there, they will help build schools for needy children.
