MALVERN U17s 42pts,

KIDDERMINSTER 12pts

MALVERN ran out comfortable winners of a match dogged by injury and late withdrawals.

For the first 20 minutes both sides matched each other in attack and defence until Malvern number eight Jason Tolley broke from a scrum near the line to feed John Wall to score near the corner.

Adam Dixon converted well and, the team, suddenly believing in themselves, pressed hard for another score, this time by Jason Tolley himself with another pick up and drive near the Kidderminster line.

No further score saw half time with Malvern 12-0 up.

The second half was to see free flowing rugby from the home side and excellent scores from Ben Green with two, Peter Perret, John Avery and Alex Chew. Adam Dixon added one further conversion.

Kidderminster never gave up and scored two tries themselves, one being converted. Had they not lost players through injury the score may have been closer but this was Malvern's day with man of the match John Wall using the ball well whether in the hand or through his excellent kicking game.
