IMAGINATIVE children have been showing their love for their mums by making Mother's Day cards.
Sixty youngsters aged five to six at St Barnabas CE Primary School, Worcester, have said it with words by putting their own individual thoughts inside the cards.
The 420 pupils at the school in Green Lane, also took part in a special Mother's Day assembly yesterday.
"We had a Mother's Day assembly where we read a story about mothers and what mothers do," said Jennifer Oakley, a Year One teacher at the school.
"The Year One pupils made cards. Some made them in teapot shapes with tea bags inside saying 'Have a cup of tea on me'.
"They decorated their own envelopes and sponge printed them. Some drew a picture of their mother on the front with lots of love and kisses inside.
"Some did word processed messages inside such as 'To the best mother in the world, I love you lots.'
"They really enjoyed it and are looking forward to Mother's Day."
