HEREFORD United face a nerve-wracking finale to their Nationwide Conference campaign but still stand a good chance of making the play-offs.

Edgar Street will host four of the Bulls remaining six fixtures and these could be pivotal in shaping United's season.

First up are today's visitors Margate who Hereford have already defeated thanks to goals from Michael Rose and Paul Parry. Margate have struggled away from home and are currently lying in 15th position in the Conference away form guide.

The Bulls should be capable of taking three points from that encounter but they face a much trickier proposition with Nigel Clough's Burton Albion next weekend.

The Brewers inflicted a 2-0 defeat on the Bulls back in October and under Clough have established themselves as a difficult away side, occupying eighth place in the Conference away form guide.

Hereford will still be without the suspended Jamie Pitman but with John Grant available will have added options up front.

Leigh RMI and Doncaster Rovers will be the last two teams to come to Edgar Street on April 19 and 26 and will offer vastly different challenges.

Leigh are poor on the road, lying 18th in the Conference away form guide, and giving Hereford realistic hope of victory.

Doncaster in contrast are flying high in third place in the away form guide, one above the Bulls, and will be very awkward to beat.

On the plus side Hereford, themselves fourth in the away form guide, will fancy their chances of success in their two remaining away games against Southport and Hal-ifax.

Their respective home form places them at 17th and seventh respectively in the Conference form table for home teams.
