WORCESTER Wolves need to win three of their last four games to book a top four finish in the National Basketball League Division One.
That's the view of player-coach Rick Solvason as his side takes on Mansfield Express in their last scheduled home game of the season at University College Worcester tonight (7pm).
Wolves have slipped to sixth place after last week's 128-97 setback against leaders Derbyshire, and need to finish in the top four to guarantee a home tie in the end-of-season play-offs.
After tonight Wolves have three successive away games against London United, Hull and Bath to finish their programme.
Solvason said: "We have got to win at least three of the four games we have left if we are going to make any kind of bid for a top four place. If not we will finish somewhere around fifth, sixth or seventh.
"We are definitely confident about winning tonight against a team below us. Of our other three games coming up on the road, Bath and London are ahead of us but both are capable of being beaten, and Hull are below us.
"We have a chance of getting those three wins but we are just focusing on tonight's game."
Solvason was pleased with many aspects of the performance against Derbyshire. "We did well to put up that number of points, and we offered them a good game up until the last few minutes.
"After talking to the guys at training they will be up for this game. It could be our last chance to play in front of our fans this season.
"Last week the crowd were very supportive and we definitely know they can play a big role for us."
