WORCESTER Wolves play their first home game in almost six weeks tonight when they face North-West London in the National Basketball League Division One (7pm).
And it's a special night in more ways than one at University College Worcester, with Wolves officially opening their new permanent seats.
The ceremony will be performed at 6.30pm by Worcester's MP Michael Foster and UCW principal Dorma Urwin.
Wolves player-coach Rick Solvason said: "It will be a big night and a big event, and we are looking forward to it."
The new £100,000 seats, partly funded by a grant from the Foundation for Sport and the Arts, house 500 people and make Wolves eligible for promotion to the National Conference.
Solvason is looking forward to his side playing in front of their own fans again. "Our home support has always been a major factor ever since we came here, and hopefully they can help us tonight."
Wolves scored their first league win away to Black Country last week, and Solvason is looking for a similar performance.
"It was a very good win. I wouldn't say we did anything particularly brilliantly, but we did virtually everything pretty well and ground out a win on the road, which we needed to do," said Solvason.
"North-West London will be very athletic and quick, and we have to do a good job in limiting their shots."
Paul Gerald is fully fit after getting some game time against Black Country following an ankle injury, while Droitwich-based new signing Tom Thornton will make his home debut.
