BROMSGROVE Rovers kept their Midland Allliance promotion hopes alive after a hard fought 2-1 victory at home to Bridgnorth Town.
Rovers dominated for large periods but could not make their superiority tell until Steve Taylor and Steve Frost scored midway through the second half.
The game started brightly with Matt Coppin causing the visiting defence plenty of problems up front but he was unable to convert three chances.
Rovers continued to pile on the pressure after the break and joint manager Gary Hackett brought himself on for the last half hour, replacing Marvin Blake.
On 67 minutes the hosts finally made the breakthrough when Steve Taylor headed across the goal and the ball cannoned home off a defender.
Steve Frost added to the lead three minutes later when he got free of the goalkeeper to smash the ball home.
But Rovers were made to sweat as Eric Smith pulled one back for Bridgnorth with seven minutes left.
