BROMSGROVE Rovers kept their Midland Alliance promotion hopes alive with a 2-1 win at Stourbridge last night.
Gary Hackett and Jon Ford's side made some early running while Stourbridge demonstrated their pace down the flanks.
The Glassboys went ahead on 20 minutes when Paul Szewczyk he hit a shot from 20 yards.
On 32 minutes Rovers were unlucky with a penalty appeal but five minutes before the break they were level when a clearance fell for Neil Cartwright who volleyed home from 20 yards.
The visitors came out fighting after half time and seven minutes in Palmer picked up the ball and swept a shot in for 2-1.
With little more than 20 minutes left, Rovers were awarded a penalty after substitute Coppin was tripped in the box but Blake had a dismal shot saved.
