JAN Molby's offer to stand down as Hull manager after the Tigers' dreadful recent run of form has been rejected by the club.
After being tipped for promotion, the Boothferry Park outfit have won just two of their opening 12 matches and club owner Adam Pearson has revealed the Dane offered to step aside from the job he took on just six months ago.
However, Pearson left the former Kidderminster manager in no doubt that time is running out. He said: "We have had a long chat about the situation. Jan offered to step down but I have told him to see what happens in a few weeks. I still believe that he can turn things around.
"We have had an extremely disappointing start to the season but we all still believe that we have the players within the squad to turn things around.
"However, it is going to need an enormous amount of hard work by the manager and his staff to put the confidence back into the players."
Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Kidderminster was Hull's fourth game without a win.
