JOHN Chambers is the latest person to throw his hat into the ring for the managerial vacancy at Bromsgrove Rovers.
Chief executive Pat Bannister confirmed that the former Kidderminster and Halesowen boss had applied for the vacancy, and said that interviews are likely to start next week.
But he said: "We are not in an immediate panic because we have a good back-up team in place, headed by Eric McManus.
"There has been a total morale change within the players. The professionalism that has been brought into the dressing room has been second to none."
Rovers visit Unibond League Premier Division side Droyls-den tomorrow (3pm) in the FA Umbro Trophy first round, subject to a pitch inspection.
Recent signings Alex Winstone and Kevin Jinks are added to the squad as well as reserve youngsters Michael Wright and Chris Bates.
