SECOND-placed Worcestershire will make chan-ges to their Frizzell County Championship side for the Division Two match against Northamptonshire which opens at New Road tomorrow.
Director of Cricket Tom Moody revealed that the final line-up has yet to be decided but would be different from that which beat title rivals Essex by eight wickets at Southend in their last match.
He said: "We won't be playing two spinners for instance. We'll also be looking at the fitness of Alamgir Sheriyar and how people pull up after yesterday."
Paceman Sheriyar has been suffering from slight stiffness in his Achilles recently while batsman Stephen Peters also comes into contention.
If he plays it will be his first Championship appearance since breaking a thumb against his former club Essex at New Road in mid-May.
Moody said: "It depends on the balance of the side because in David Leatherdale, if there is a little bit in the wicket, he gives you that second string to your bow with a few seam-ups.
"But it's a critical game where we need a result and I'm sure the guys will get re-focussed for the challenge and store yesterday's defeat in the memory bank and treat it as a learning curve."
Northants will be hoping to build on their last Championship match when they beat Durham by one wicket.
