THREE third-time mums are taking motherhood in their stride as they start training for Crowle's annual fun run.
Rebecca Ward, Janet Coleman and Fizz Bewley will each be running with their three children to raise money for sports facilities on the village's playing field.
This year is the second that the two events - a one-mile fun run and a 10k race - have been held, and organisers are expecting a large turnout for the occasion on Sunday, May 4.
"Last year we attracted 120 runners for the 10k race," said organiser Mrs Bewley. "The fastest won in 33 minutes 11 seconds, but there were many runners for whom it was their first 10k and they made it round in more like an hour."
The fun run also attracted more than 100 participants, including mothers, grandparents and children of all ages.
"It is a good family occasion based at the village hall, with running in the morning, but also children's stalls, cakes and drinks and then a barbecue at lunch time," said Mrs Bewley.
The Gunpowder Plot 10k - so called because it passes Huddington Court, near Droitwich, where the scheme was supposedly hatched - costs £5 for club runners, and £6 for non-club members.
Entry for the fun run is £3, and forms are available from Fizz Bewley on 01905 381080.
