A SWEET left foot remains a top target for Worcester City manager John Barton.
The St George's Lane boss will step up the hunt for a left-sided player ahead of City's opening league match against Hastings next month.
Barton has already lost out on one target from the Football League but has several other options to pursue.
One of his options is trialist Jamie Edwards, who played in the friendly against Cheltenham Town and impressed assistant boss Mick Tuohy. However Edwards has had trials at Exeter City this week.
Barton remains unhappy with the shape of his side, despite trying a number of players in the role last year.
"We would like to think we can bring in another player before the start of the season and we still have several options with regard to a wide left player," he said.
"We are looking to give the side better balance and a wide player could be a key position in terms of giving the team some shape."
City's reserves lost 5-0 at Causeway United last night.
New signing John Snape played 45 minutes while trialists John Shirley and Grant Pinkney played the entire game as did Danny McDonnell.
