JAMIE Edwards, who impressed for Worcester City during their 3-0 friendly defeat against Cheltenham Town on Saturday, will have a trial at Exeter City tomorrow.
The Welsh under 19 international was one of four trialists on show at St George's Lane, playing wide left -- a position City struggled to fill last season.
Also on display against Second Division Robins were trialists Tom Radcliffe, Grant Pinkney, John Shirley and Dan Jones.
Assistant boss Mick Tuohy, standing in for John Barton who is holiday, was impressed with the way Edwards filled the left-sided role.
"We decided to look at the left-hand side, which has always been a difficult position to fill, and Edwards has done himself a few favours," he said. "Of the trialists he probably shone more than the others although Grant Pinkney did quite well.
"It is encouraging that players want to come and have trials with us but they drift from Football League clubs to non-league and are always looking to get back into the League so we've got a fight off a little competition for the signings of these players."
Barton returns from holiday this week and will be back in charge for their friendly with Kidderminster Harriers at St George's Lane next Saturday.
