BRITISH Leyland office workers at Grosvenor House could join the Redditch dole queue if the company is reshuffled union leaders feared this week.
And the rumours are now abounding that the new Leyland Cars computer centre at Moons Moat could be scrapped as part of a four way split of Leyland Cars planned by chairman, Michael Edwardes.
The chairman outlined the new framework to union leaders earlier this week and afterwards Ray Edwards, assistant general secretary of the association of professional executive clerical computer staff said he thought Redditch jobs could be in danger and the computer company could be scrapped.
But although the rumours have been discarded by the company - which also says that a full statement is on its way in February - union officials still oppose the ideas of Mr Edwardes.
