VETERAN midfielder Brendan Hackett has not ruled out a return to the Valley next season.
Hackett was forced to hang up his boots after the turn of the year because of increasingly heavy work commitments.
But he was invited to return for pre-season training and said there is every chance he will do so.
"I could not commit to turning up for training every week," said the former Stourport Swifts player-coach.
"There was no way I could try and get a place in the team but I will be talking to Rod and Gary soon about my plans and there is a good chance I will return in the close season."
Hackett turned down to vacant Swifts manager's job to link up with Brown after his move to United and was the new manager's first signing.
