PLANS to obviate flooding at the Allendale Estate, Studley, were referred to at Wednesday's meeting of Alcester Rural District Council.
A letter from the architects pointed out that the county surveyor attributed the flooding to the filling up of a pond which did not adequately absorb the increased amount of service water from the Allendale Estate elsewhere.
It was further reported that the council surveyor was negotiating with landowners and that the local drainage officer was preparing a detailed scheme involving the improvement of service water courses and the laying of a network of 24-inch piping estimated to cost about £1,000.
