MR JG Green, of The Manor House, Studley, entertained about 80 ladies and gentlemen in the district on Wednesday evening, the occasion being the coming of age of his daughter, Miss Gertrude Green.
The reception took place in the Public Hall, which was decorated with art muslin of various shades and plants and flowers were also charmingly arranged.
Dancing was greatly enjoyed, the floor of the hall being in perfect condition and the music by Messrs Spencer gave every satisfaction.
During the evening, Miss Green was the recipient of a large number of costly presents.
