Studley Parish Council decided at its meeting on Tuesday to go ahead with its original proposal to build a permanent village hall rather than be tempted into erecting a prefabricated building because there might be considerable delay in obtaining permission to build a permanent hall.
The decision was taken after clerk Mr H S Gardner had given a resume of the progress of the project since the last meeting.
Mr Gardner pointed out that the fund now stood at £2,075.
The site plan had been approved but if there was delay in making progress interest in the scheme might lapse.
