WORCESTERSHIRE'S Director of Cricket Tom Moody is urging his shell-shocked players to repair the damage caused by yesterday's grim defeat against Gloucestershire by beating Northamptonshire in tomorrow's Benson and Hedges Cup clash at Northampton.
After watching the County suffer a six-wicket battering at New Road, he said: "We need to turn the page on that, forget about it and get on with it."
Moody admitted his players were disappointed and shocked by the way they crashed to defeat following a dismal batting performance in which they were ripped out for a meagre 70 after being put in. He said: "It was obviously an important toss to win but I think the bottom line that we never really got into the game. The ball seamed around alarmingly and before we knew it we were five wickets down. It's hard to salvage a situation from that.
"I am concerned we lost, but I'm not concerned at the we way played because we haven't really had a chance to get into the game.
"Obviously everyone is very disappointed and shocked if anything because it all happened in such a rush," said Moody.
Worcestershire have yet to finalise their side for tomorrow's clash but Moody indicated that there were unlikely to be any changes.
