Digby is a vastly experienced keeper who was signed before the first game of February against Bournemouth in order to add his know-how to a young defence.

The Sheffield-born shot-stopper started off as an apprentice at Manchester United but never played for the giants of English football.

However, he moved on to Swindon Town in the 1986/87 season and quickly established himself as a popular regular choice there.

Digby, who has represented England schools, youth and U-21s, did not leave the club until 1998 and played for them during their brief Premier League stint.

He featured in several play-off finals, including a stunning 4-3 victory over Leicester City in 1993 which booked a place at the top level.

He moved on to Crystal Palace and then QPR last season where he brought his first-team appearances up to the 600-mark.

When released by QPR due to cash constraints, Digby played a game for Purfleet in the Ryman League before accepting the chance to join Harriers on a non-contract basis.
