NEWCOMER Dion Scott could make his debut for Kidderminster Harriers in tomorrow's Nat-ionwide League Division Three clash against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank (3pm).
The 22-year-old defender has signed on a non-contract basis after being released by Mansfield Town earlier this month. He was previously with Walsall.
Harriers will be checking on the fitness of ankle in-jury victims John Melligan and Adie Smith before finalising their side.
Both are in with a chance of coming off the casualty list in time to face the Red Imps.
Eight-goal midfielder Melligan has missed Harriers' last three matches while utility player Smith had to be substituted at half time in Tuesday night's 3-1 home defeat against Oxford United because the ankle he had operated on recently was sore.
Harriers, meanwhile, are hoping to get their faltering play-off hopes back on track after defensive lapses led to their damaging reversal at the hands of promotion-chasing Oxford.
It nudged them down to 12th place in the table, but still only three points adrift of a play-off spot.
Lincoln are in ninth position despite their recent unbeaten run of seven league games -- three wins and four draws -- being ended last Saturday by a surprise 2-0 defeat at bottom-placed Swansea.
Since Tuesday's defeat Aggborough boss Ian Britton has again been urging his players to tighten up at the back after letting in two goals or more in 14 of their last 16 outings.
He said: "The goals we are giving away are a joke. I'm fed up talking about it. It's the same old story.
"All we can do is keep working hard in training and putting it into practice on the pitch."
Harriers' influential defender Craig Hinton said: "I don't think teams have to try hard for their goals against us. They are just sloppy goals. Oxford's whole team work hard and they are hard to beat. Lincoln tomorrow will play the same way so we know what we are up against."
Harriers, who take on fellow promotion chasers Bournemouth at Aggborough on Tuesday, will be hoping to go one better tomorrow than they did on the opening day of the season when Lincoln visited Aggborough and secured a 1-1 draw. The Red Imps took an early lead before Danish front-runner Bo Henriksen equalised on 59 minutes.
Harriers then wasted the chance to record their third consecutive opening day victory when striker Drewe Broughton missed a penalty five minutes from the end.
FORMCAST: Harriers to lose 2-1.
