KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have a side fully capable of at least reaching the Nationwide League Division Three play-offs.
That's the firm belief of their long-serving utility player Adie Smith whose season has been disrupted recently by a series of frustrating setbacks.
Firstly, he was hampered by hamstring trouble which was followed by an ankle injury when he returned to action in a friendly match at Rushden & Diamonds.
This week he was hit by the stomach bug that has affected several of the Aggborough players over the last couple of weeks.
Smith, however, hopes he can quickly get back into the old routine and help Harriers continue their encouraging league form.
The former Bromsgrove Rovers campaigner said: "We are definitely capable of getting into the play-offs. We just need to score some goals and start finishing teams off."
His comments were echoed by Harriers' Danish front-runner Bo Henriksen after he 'finished off' Bristol Rovers by scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory at the Memorial Stadium last Saturday.
The well deserved triumph highlighted Kidderminster's fitness which has been sharpened this season by Bob Ashwood, the national athletics coach.
He has been putting the players through their paces with endurance and sprint exercises and Aggborough boss Ian Britton says: "I haven't seen any team in the league that's fitter than us.
"It's been hard work and the players like to have a moan, but we've seen the rewards in our matches. We're just as strong in the last minute as we are in the first."
