Redditch United 0 Shepshed 5
SHORN of five key players Redditch never looked the part against a clinical Shepshed side.
In the away fixture - Rod Brown's first in charge - Dynamo had brought Kirk Master off the bench to save the game.
At the Valley, Master started and tortured United from the off, scoring three and adding an assist.
After 12 minutes Shepshed's first foray of note opened the scoring as Danum Russell stole position in Redditch territory for Richard Tanner to see his shot bravely blocked by Neil Olden only to roll to Master who fired into the unguarded net.
Tanner fed Master 15 minutes later and the bearded forward picked out Russell with a peach of a pass for the forward to coolly toe poke it past a stranded Olden.
Lea Shaw, Brendan Hackett and loan signing Liam O'Neill offered half chances in return but normal service was resumed in the 54th minute.
Master claimed the goal of the game after picking up the ball near the halfway line before embarking on a surging run down the left and firing across Olden for the third.
Russell made it four ten minutes later, picking up possession on the left hand edge of the Redditch area he looked up before thrashing one past a flailing Olden.
And Master crowned a flowing move with a deserved hat-trick four minutes from time, finishing joyfully from an inch perfect John Folwell ball after sub Tommy Byrne played Russell on side.
Liam O'Neill's Reds debut was one to forget as the striker headed back to Bromsgrove Reserves and a second half debut for youth team midfielder Chris Hill was the only other high note for Redditch.
