VIKRAM Solanki was Worcestershire's leading scorer when they won the second match of their pre-season tour of Northern Transvaal in South Africa by 38 runs.
Playing against the Northern Titans in Duivelskloof, Solanki hit 78 after skipper Ben Smith had won the toss and elected to bat on good batting track in fine weather.
The County scored 278-8 in 50 overs with their tally being boosted by Graeme Hick 66, Stephen Peters 48 and Smith 38.
In reply, the Titans were dismissed for 240 in 48 overs having been 131-7 at one stage.
The wickets were shared with two each for seam bowlers Matt Mason, Chris Liptrot, David Leatherdale and off-spinner Solanki.
Australian left-arm pace bowler Mark Harrity bowled eight overs for just 21 runs in his first appearance for Worcestershire.
The County's third tour match will be on Wednesday in Phalaborwa against a Kwa-Zulu Natal Invitational XI.
