THIS week's winners of a bottle of champagne are husband and wife team Bob and Pauline Powell.

The duo, of Franchecourt Drive, Kiddermin-ster, have been rewarded for their tireless support of Kemp Hospice and its building appeal.

"They've been a tremendous help in many ways over a good number of years," said campaign manager John Fletcher.

"Bob's a volunteer driver, who helps bring patients in and out of the hospice, and they have both helped on quite a number of street collections.

"They have also raised money themselves."

He added: "We felt it would make a nice change - they are a couple but they have both made individual contributions."

Every week a bottle of champagne, donated by Sainsbury's and the Shuttle/Times & News, is given as a thank-you for helping the hospice appeal.
