EVER wondered how much that old clock or chair is worth? An antique valuation day next month could satisfy your curiosity and help a good cause.
All proceeds from the event, to be held at Romsley near Shatterford on Monday, July 15, from noon until 4pm, will go towards Kemp Hospice's £2.2 million appeal.
Entry costs £5 and includes valuation of an item and a glass of wine. Wyre Forest crafts, including glass blowing, painting and wood carving, will be on display and there will be a chance to take part in a valuation challenge with prizes including a dinner for two.
Kidderminster company Halls Auctioneers and Estate Agents is providing the know-how and one of its experts will be giving a talk, expected to be on furniture restoration.
Kemp Hospice's campaign manager John Fletcher said: "It should be a most enjoyable day. Any extra items can be valued for just £1 each so people can bring as many as they like."
For further information and to obtain tickets for the event contact the appeals office on 01562 865105.
