HOT property Alex Cowley has been made available for offers as Stourport Swifts look to cash in on one of their biggest assets.
Cowley, with eight goals and a string of sparkling Dr Martens Western Division displays under his belt, wants to play at a higher level.
The 19-year-old winger, released by West Bromwich Albion two years ago, is contracted until the end of the season.
Boss Tim Langford is inviting bids for Cowley and he expects the player to end up in the Conference or Dr Martens Premier Division.
He stressed: "I would try and persuade Alex to stay if it was a club from our division.
"I haven't got a clue what the fee will be but we just want to listen to any offers.
"Obviously, we want to keep him but he wants to play at a higher level. If he ends up in the Conference or Premier Division, I will give him my best wishes."
Meanwhile, Swifts are confident they will fend off a seven-day approach for an un-named player, though not from rivals Redditch.
On the incoming front, Langford hopes to speak to Evesham's Shaun Pratt before Saturday.
But sources at Evesham suggest Wyre Forest-based Pratt, a striker or right-sided midfielder, may be happy where he is.
However, Langford said: "I don't know what kind of money he's on but I know what I can offer and we are only five minutes down the road from him.
"He's the quickest player I've seen this season by far, even faster than Alex. He also puts himself about and runs all day."
Swifts head to Gloucester on Saturday (3pm) after four wins in their last five games, including the weekend 4-0 beating of Rocester.
Langford is looking for a result at their mid-table opponents to cement a top-five place.
Swifts were today hoping to hear the outcome of their complaint to Birmingham FA over an alleged illegal approach from Redditch for striker Lee Booth.
