THERE was disappointment after Stourport Swifts missed out on a potential giant-killing act.
However, boss Tim Langford was happy with the efforts over the two FA Trophy third round games against Conference strugglers Chester.
Langford said: "We came in at half-time and I couldn't hear myself speak because Chester's Ted McMinn was shouting so loud - and they were a goal up.
"We had the better of the first half but it was unfortunate we conceded when we did. We needed to chase the game but we didn't look like scoring in the second half.
"However, I cannot fault the lads for effort and I've given them Thursday off training.
"I'm just disappointed because I thought Chester were there for the taking and it could have been different if we hadn't let in the first goal or had the injuries.
"But it's been a good experience for the lads. I really wouldn't fancy Mark Wright's job at Chester at all."
More Swifts news to follow tomorrow.
