DAVE Titterton has championed the team spirit at Stourport Swifts which is helping the club out of Dr Martens Western Division trouble.
The Swifts boss admitted there could be no price put on the importance of morale among the players at grass roots level.
Titterton said: "A good team spirit is a major factor at this level. I know because I've been at clubs where the spirit just hasn't been there.
"People live away from the club and never seem to get together. That isn't the case at Stourport.
"There are no airs and graces about the players here. And a good spirit does attract other good players into the squad."
Swifts, who visit Merthyr Tydfil on Saturday, climbed to fourth from bottom in the table with Saturday's crucial 2-1 beating of Racing Club Warwick.
