ONE of Kidderminster's oldest family businesses has scooped a bottle of champagne after years of helping Kemp Hospice.
For more than three years Tony's Bakery, based in Peel Street, has donated 24 cakes a month to the weekly coffee mornings held at Kidderminster Library in aid of the hospice.
The shop also has a collecting tin so customers can give their spare change.
"We try to do our bit," said Stephen Ray, who owns the business that has been running since 1886.
"My grandmother was helped by Kemp Hospice and my father before me was interested in Kemp."
Campaign manager John Fletcher said sales from the cakes had raised more than £1,000.
He added: "It's nice to have organisations that keep on supporting us week after week."
The coffee mornings take place every Thursday from 10am until noon.
