THE Tree of Light is back to brighten up the lives of patients suffering from cancer and other life-threatening conditions.
Sponsors for this year's tree, which has been put up in the Swan Centre in Kidderminster, can remember a loved one or special occasion in style and swell Kemp Hospice's coffers at the same time.
The tree will bear the messages of sponsors who will receive a Christmas card.
Names of people or events being remembered will also be recorded in a roll of honour next to the tree.
A blessing service, conducted by the hospice chaplain Bob Murrin and featuring music from the choir of Knoll School, Kidderminster, will take place at 3pm on Sunday, November 24 when the lights will be switched on.
Last year a record £3,425 was raised from the venture and the hospice is hoping to match or even break that figure this year.
