SPORTING success is never in short supply at Bromsgrove School as they continue to excel in many areas.
Top of the list in the last month has been the achievements of the Worcester Road school's fencers with success on both the national and international stage.
Firstly, Naomi Taylor, aged 16, was part of England's U18s winning Epee team at the Junior Home Nations Championships last month and was also a member of the Foil squad.
Then, the Boys U16s Epee team captured the national schools' title for the second time in three years.
For Naomi, it is just the latest in a long line of successes, stretching back over four years at Bromsgrove School.
She has represented the West Midlands at U17s level since 1999 and won the British U17s Epee Championships last October.
On the international stage, Naomi is aiming to qualify for the British U20s world championship team.
Naomi is also beginning to pass her knowledge on to others after completing basic Epee coaching.
For the boys, victory at King's School, in Canterbury, saw them defeat some of the most high profile fencing schools in the business.
Chris Taylor, Matthew Edgar and Simon Holburn saw off Eton, Westminster, Whitgift and King's Canterbury en route to the prestigious honour.
In netball, the school's Year Eight team won the district title at Parkside School, in Stourbridge Road.
The Year Seven team reached the national finals at Walsall following victory in a qualification tournament in Bristol.
That achievement secured them a ranking in the top 14 UK Independent Schools for their age group.
As for hockey, the U13s side retained the county championship in Droitwich Spa. The team won three matches without conceding a goal.
