PEOPLE making their way down to the water front this Easter will be able to enjoy Worcestershire's waterways at their best following an annual spring clean.
From Monday to Friday this week, British Waterways' staff, including all office-based staff, will take to the canal and river banks to clean up in time for Easter.
Staff will be clearing away litter, sprucing up waterway offices and improving the banks of the canals and rivers in the Midlands and South Wales regions.
"Easter marks the start of the traditional holiday season and that means millions of people will be making their way to a local waterway to enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, boating or to simply take in the waterway scene at a pub, tea room or museum," said a spokeswoman for British Waterways.
"Before they do that we want to make sure the regional network is in tip top condition to welcome them."
