JAMES Alexander (You Say, Saturday, March 29) appears to urge all "Independent" candidates in the forthcoming local elections to join the Conservative Party.
He claims the Conservatives are the only party who will prevent the "wholesale demolition of Great Britain".
The Conservatives continue to pretend that they can change the intended direction of the European Union from within the EU.
We, in the UK Independence Party, say that this is impossible and we must terminate our membership.
However, this is all irrelevant in the forthcoming elections which are about local issues.
UKIP has many candidates, and one of its policies is to remove party politics from local government.
