A DRIVER who crashed in to a tree on a notorious Worcestershire road is still in a critical condition.
The 28-year-old man was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital following the accident on the A449 near Hawford Wood, near Ombersley, on Sunday, at 1.30pm. No other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed for several hours, while firefighters cut him free from the yellow Vauxhall Tigra Coupe, which collided with the tree on the central reservation.

Meanwhile, a 73-year-old, who was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital after a car crash on Sunday, is still described as critical.
The Bromsgrove man was driving a blue Maestro van, on the A491 Stourbridge Road, near Bromsgrove, when his vehicle was in a collision with a silver Rover 25 driven by a woman near the Money Lane junction.
She was released from hospital after being treated for minor injuries.
