TELEVISION chef Jamie Oliver has teamed up with Royal Worcester to cook up a new range of "pukka" porcelain.

The new plates, dishes and mugs, called "Retro" will be the same shapes as his successful white range, launched in the summer of 2001, but feature a rectangular pastel-coloured design.

Jamie said he will be using some of the range at his popular North London restaurant, Fifteen, which was the subject of a recent television documentary.

"Some of the pieces - particularly the mugs - will be perfect for the antipasta bar area and of course, Jools has already bent my ear for a set for home," he said.

"Retro is to add variety to the range. I also wanted to create a line with a subtle design, so that the food is still the main event."
