A COMPETENT bassoon player is needed to join a well-established West Midlands orchestra.
The Halesowen Orchestra is also looking for musicians who play stringed instruments, particularly a double bassist to join them for rehearsals and shows.
Based at the Leasowes High School in Kent Road, the orchestra meets on Monday evenings between 7.45 and 9.45pm.
Under the helm of professional conductor Martin Leigh, they have 48 members and perform a number of concerts in and around the Midlands every year.
Orchestra spokeswoman Julie Billingham said: "We are a really friendly group, always looking to welcome new members, particularly those who play the bassoon or a stringed instrument. Musicians need to be a minimum of grade seven standard."
If you are interested in joining the fun call Julie on 0121 550 0956.
