PEOPLE are being reminded not to leave bags and belongings on display in their vehicles after a black handbag was stolen from a woman's car.
The front window of the parked BMW was smashed and a black leather bag containing paperwork, a calculator, a spelling machine and £50 in cash was stolen.
The car was parked in Ledwych Road, Droitwich between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday, March 25.
"Always ensure your vehicle is locked when left unattended and never leave valuables on display in the car, no matter how quickly you will be returning," said PC Ally Kingdon.
"It takes only a matter of seconds for a thief to smash a window.
"Leaving items on display is far too tempting for thieves, items should be taken from the vehicle whenever it is left.
"If it is impossible to take belongings with you then lock them out of sight in the boot."
Anyone with information should call Droitwich police on 08457 444888 quoting 209C/250303.
