In their last friendly gala before the start of the Diddy League, Redditch SC young swimmers finished third behind hosts Haden Hill.
Swimming in their first gala were Elizabeth Humphries, who came third in the 9yrs 1length back, Callum Lungrin, third in the 1L breast, Chris Ball, who swam in the 9yr relays and Pasanan Locke who swam in the 11yr girls relays.
There were some strong performances from the nine year olds with Michaela Britt finishing first in the 1L breast, Olivia Laxton second in the 1L free, Jack Baker second in the 1L back and Lewis Biddle taking third in the 1L free.
The girls finished second in both the mixed medley and freestyle relays.
The ten year olds were also in good form with third places for Jenna Pardy in the 50m free, Lucy Knibbs in the 50m breast and Sophie Parkins in the 1L fly.
Danielle Harwood swam backstroke.
For the boys Robert Stanley finished second in both the 50m breast and 50m free.
In the relays the girls finished second in the medley and free with the boys second in the medley and third in the free.
The 11 yr olds stormed down the pool with Nicola Strange taking first in the 50m back, Jessica Nice first in the 50m free and Dan Ruckwood first in the 50m back.
Daniel Constant swam fly and Brett Fleeman breaststroke.
The boys scooped a superb first in the medley relay and a third in the free whilst the girls finished second in the free and fourth in the medley.
In the 12yrs age group Lucy Edwards finished second in the 50m breast and third in the 50m fly whilst Liam Chapman earned a second in the boys 50m breast.
Simon Whitmore swam fly, Anthony Baker, back and Richard Fleeman freestyle.
In the relays the boys finished second in the medley and third in the freestyle whilst the girls finished third in the medley and fourth in the freestyle.
