REDDITCH United Women could yet take some silverware out of a disappointing season after being handed a place in the Southam Invitation Cup.
Steve Tayler's third from bottom side were on the end of a 7-1 reverse at Ross Town at the weekend and have agreed the Invitation Cup tie against Southam will also count as a league game as they bid to squeeze in three fixtures before the league deadline.
The Studley-based side were set to be without a game again at the weekend but were this week hoping to rearrange their outstanding home game against Fairfield Villa for Sunday (ko 2pm).
Tayler's side visit Southam for the cup tie on Thursday, April 24 and also have to fit in a home game against Ross.
