WOODRUSH skipper Paul Moore has pulled the curtain down on his playing career after a second knee operation in six months.
Moore has not played all season because of a long-standing cruciate knee ligament injury first suffered six years ago.
The Woodrush second row or number eight has endured four operations on the same leg and decided to call it a day this week as his latest recuperation continues.
A weakened Woodrush side lost a friendly to Camp Hill 2's at the weekend 41-29 but should return to strength for Saturday's trip to Bromyard (ko 3pm).
The Old Icknield Street side have little but pride to play for but the game could be crucial to deciding whether Redditch survive at Bromyard's expense.
New arrival John Anderson made his Woodrush debut at the weekend.
The prop made his first team bow after jumping ship from the reserve sides at Powergen Midlands One strugglers Bromsgrove.
