A NEW version of Rumplestiltskin has its world premiere at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre this week.
Designed to attract 'today's media savvy kids' to the theatre, the original Grimm's fairy tale has been adapted by Matthew Peg and includes some 'weird and wonderful' sets designed by Sheri Hazzard.
Director Miltos Yerolemou has recently been involved with two successful productions in Brighton.
Richard Fletcher, last seen at The Belgrade in Roald Dahl's The Twits in 2001 plays the title role.
His wife, Isabel Ford, also stars together with Zoe Bywater, Jud Charlton, Dan Copeland, Mike Moylan and Gail Sixsmith.
The story follows the journey of the miller and his daughter Jemima into goblin country.
Rumplestiltskin runs until April 26.
Ticket prices start at £10 for adults and £6 for children on 02476 553 055 or online at www.belgrade.co.uk
