AN unnamed stretch of road in Webheath will be given one of two suggested new titles during a Redditch Council meeting tonight.
The section of the road, in the vicinity of Crumpfields Lane and Green Lane, is currently not identified by a nameplate.
Redditch Councillor Pat Wilson believes the road should be called Crumpfields Lane.
But Worcestershire County Council's highways manager for Redditch Jim Casey thinks it should be signposted Green Lane, formerly Botters Hill, leading to Crumpfields Lane.
Members of the council's executive committee will decide on their preferred name of the road tonight
But the debate will go on further and a final decision will have to be made at full council.
When a new sign is eventually installed, it will be funded by Webheath Neighbourhood Group.
