Four star
SEYMOUR Parrish, a photo-developer for a supermarket, is a man obsessed.
For years he has developed the holiday snaps and family occasion pics of the Yerkin family, consisting of mum Nina, dad Will and young son Jakob.
To get through his long days and even longer, lonelier nights, Seymour creates a fantasy world where he is part of the perfect Yerkin family - an avuncular figure they all adore.
But things get sinister when Seymour decides to stalk the family and make his own personal photo collection.
What he is not privy to at first, however, is that the Yerkin family are far from perfect. Mum and dad are continually at each other's throats which deeply disturbs the son and daddy's idea of behaving is not saying his mistress' name while in bed with his wife.
The tension in the film builds to a crescendo in what is an unexpected but hugely satisfying conclusion.
Although the film didn't quite rate five stars, Williams' performance does.
It was a part he was made for and past roles like Peter Pan and Mrs Doubtfire pale into insignificance as he fills the screen as the hauntingly creepy and maniacally obsessed Seymour.
The DVD also features commentaries, documentaries on the film and interviews.
The DVD from HMV also contains Screenxtra, a DVD packed with trailers for new films.
