Four star
A BEAUTIFULLY crafted piece of work from Linkin Park who had a hard act to follow after their fist album.
Hybrid Theory is probably still the best rock album to come out in the past five years and achieved massive success after its 2001 release.
LP fans were obviously waiting in trepidation for the release of Meteora and will be more than happy with the result.
The 13 songs are a mixture of Chester Bennington's powerful, almost screaming vocals and the rap style of Mike Shinoda.
Somewhere I Belong is another hit and believe me there are more to come. Just to pick a couple, Faint is pure genius as is Easier To Run, a classic that could have easily fitted on Hybrid Theory.
The CD is a complete package. Along with audio if you put the album in your PC, it contains links to the website where you can get a free screensaver and a film showing how the album was made.
And on the album sleeve every song is dedicated a page documenting how and where the song was created.
